Little Records in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn

To continue our celebration of the release of our book "STORE FRONT II- A History Preserved", we are posting Little Records in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. This photo was taken in 2009 but the store has since closed due in part to the changing demographics of the once ‪#‎Italian‬ neighborhood. By 1980, the population of Bensonhurst was 93% white and about 80% Italian but since then many new immigrants from Asia and Russia have moved into the area.

To hear more about this ‪#‎momandpop‬ ‪#‎storefront‬ please join us for a FREE illustrated talk next Monday, December 14th at 6:30 pm on the Sixth Floor of the Mid-Manhattan Library (455 Fifth Avenue at 40th Street). Books will be available for purchase. Prints of this store and others now available.
